Friday the 13th!!!!

So I managed to weasel my way into the PREMIERE of FRIDAY THE 13TH!!!!!!!!

Actually, there was no weaseling involved, just luck. But nonetheless, I AM EXCITED!!

It's my first premiere! (Where I actually get to go inside and see the movie with everyone else)

Anyway, I can't wait, it's on Monday at Grauman's. I'll be sure to post afterwards. Unless I come into contact with Michael Bay that night, where I will be in complete shock & unable to type. God help that man if he sees me, I have many, many questions.

The Premiere was so much fun! The stars were definitely out in Hollywood. My only regret is not seeing Jenna Fischer from The Office, who I found out later was there too. =( Sad.

Premiere Update

Hello Hello! So I've been in LA for two months, and have finally landed a job. It's not much, but it'll pay the rent while I find a film internship.

Craig Ferguson

Went to the Craig Ferguson show! Which I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend going to if you're ever in LA. He's absolutely hilarious, and the show is very high energy and entertaining. If you leave there in a bad mood...you obviously have no soul.

Anyway, it was Trace Adkins, who is surprisingly funny. And Perez Hilton. Great show and I haven't laughed that hard in ages. Craig is super nice and takes the time to talk to the audience in between breaks. He's one of the best comedians I've ever seen. He truly is underrated, and I hope more people take notice of him soon. Plus he's scottish, so he's got that great accent =P

Here's his monologue from the show I was at. If you watch it at all, get to the part where he talks about getting mauled by a depressed french poodle! It's worth it!

head on over to Arclight Hollywood tonight. I think I'll avoid the rain on this one, but I'll definitely see the movie once it's out (tomorrow).

Here are some of the events I'll be attending. And by attending I mean standing outside with my camera poised, getting pushed around by rabid fans. With the exception of Craig Ferguson, which I will actually be attending..yes the tickets were very hard to come by. I had to sign up and give my information and everything. And it's not like they were free or anything. =X Okay, okay, they were. Happy?

January 21st - Craig Ferguson (Guest Trace Adkins...I don't care for him, and Perez Hilton!)

January 29th - Premiere of Push (Starring Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning, Camilla Belle, etc.) If you'd like to attend, it's at Mann's Village Theatre and stars are arriving between 5 and 6:30 pm

February 2nd - Premiere of He's Just Not That Into You (Starring a lot of people. Heh, lot's of Jennifer's and variations of that name. Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Ben Affleck, Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper, and do I really have to go on?) Bedtime Stories

Here are some pictures from the Bedtime Stories premiere. It was held at the El Capitan theatre in Hollywood, CA on December 18th.

Ah, to explain this picture. I'm afraid I forgot to zoom out and Russell Brand was late for the premiere as he was next door taping Jimmy Kimmel, so he rushed over and rushed away. All I managed to get was this picture of his chest.

Milk Q&A

Saw Milk.

*speechless*

Okay, I'm not really speechless, I have ALOT to say about the movie. Fantastic. Brilliant. Comical. Emotional. Heart-string pulling.

Sean Penn deserves every bit of praise he receives for this role. He truly is astounding, and by the end of the movie I had to remind myself he wasn't really Harvey Milk. Normally, watching a movie, I'm extremely critical. I'm like, oh this is so-and-so playing this person. Penn really has you believing he's this influential openly-gay politician. And it's just brilliant.

Overall great acting and casting. James Franco wins. Same goes for Emile Hirsch. (His character was hilarious! Really brought a great comedic touch to the drama.) Josh Brolin yet again proves his worth.

The narration/tape to be played in the event of his assassination was a wonderful direction to carry the movie along. The speeches were powerful, and you really just found yourself feeling every emotion right along with them.

As for the Q&A afterwards...

I just about died when I heard them announce his name. He's a hero of mine (I def. got his autograph afterward. I know what you're saying, how can you hound the poor man like that? Well, at least I wasn't the girl who asked him to sign her leg.)

Yep, it happened.

It was great to hear their perspective on the movie, and everything that went into getting it made. Josh Brolin was fantastically entertaining, responding to someone's question with "Do you want me to fuck with you, or be straight?"

Someone asked the question I wanted to ask, and that was whether they thought releasing the movie during the Prop 8 Protests would have had an effect on the outcome. Dustin said that it wasnt ready to be released, but had it been released then, he thinks it would have. Also, that he still has hope that this will make an impact & change people's minds. Apparently they showed this at a gathering of christian conservatives, and they received a standing ovation.

I truly think that Milk is a movie that everyone should see. It's powerful, and I'm excited to see how it will fare come Oscar time.

So I have yet to see Milk. I'm actually glad I waited this long to see it, because tonight I'm going to a screening/Q&A afterwards! I'm the biggest dork, I'm so excited about it

Director Gus Van Sant, Screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and Actor Josh Brolin will be there. I'm really interested to hear them at the Q&A. I've never been to one, having lived in MD for my 20 years of life, where nothing happens. I'm so ecstatic I busted out of that place and now live in the LA area, where everything happens. I've only been here for a little over a month, but I've already seen and experienced more than I thought I would. I love living in Hollywood, in the middle of it all.

Ah, well I'm sure I'll post all about it afterwards, as well as what I thought about the movie.
